Khokims instructed to develop a “No corruption” program
The khokims of all regions, districts and cities of the country have been instructed to develop a “No corruption” program.
On June 30, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev chaired a videoconference on ensuring justice and countering corruption.
According to the presidential press service, during the event khokims and industry leaders have been instructed to develop a special “No Corruption” program in the territories and systems under their jurisdiction in a month in cooperation with the Anticorruption Agency. The main challenge is expected to be ensuring openness and transparency, as well as digitalization of activities.
In addition, it is planned to establish effective parliamentary and public oversight to prevent corruption. In particular, the Agency will analyze the status of anti-corruption work and submit a national report to the President and the Oliy Majlis annually.
It is also stated that the Agency, along with the media and other civil society institutions, should study the perception of corruption among the public and the business community and evaluate the performance of public authorities.
