Coronavirus: Death toll reaches 27 in Uzbekistan

The man has suffered from severe diabetes for the past five years.

“On June 7 this year, a man living in the Guzar district, Kashkadarya region, went to the Yangiyul district of the Tashkent region. And on June 12, he returned home on the “Afrosiyab” high-speed train. Three days later, on June 15, his temperature increased, but despite this, he was treated at home for a long time,” the press service of the Health Ministry said.

It is noted that the man over the past five years had suffered from severe diabetes.

On June 29, the patient’s condition worsened and he was placed in the intensive care unit of the Guzar district medical association with a diagnosis of severe acute bilateral pneumonia, heart and respiratory failure, severe diabetes.

“Despite resuscitation procedures, the patient died on July 1 from acute cardiovascular and respiratory failure,” the report reads.
