Gulnora Marufova has been appointed First Deputy Minister of Mahalla and Family Affairs.
President Shavkat Mirziyev signed the relevant decree on 3 July, the Ministry informs.
She succeeded Elmira Basitkhanova who has been reassigned by the Government to the post of Deputy Minister of Health.
Gulnora Marufova was born on 26 April 1956, in the Fergana region.
From 2004 to February 2020, she worked as the Deputy Chairman of the Women’s Committee of Uzbekistan, and since February 2020, she has been serving as the Head of the Department for Work with Families in Need of Social Protection at the Ministry of Mahalla and Family Affairs.
