More than 1,000 citizens Uzbekistan gathered in Samara Oblast in the hope of returning home

Citizens of Uzbekistan have again come to the Bolshaya Chernigovka district of the Samara Oblast, as well as to the Buzuluk district of the Orenburg Oblast, hoping to leave for their homeland, Interfax-Volga reports with reference to Dilyara Sabirova, the regional branch head of the All-Russian Congress of Uzbeks.

“As of 07:00 on Monday, 1 thousand 139 citizens of Uzbekistan are in the Bolshaya Chernigovka district, and 747 people are in the Buzuluk district of the Orenburg Oblast. Negotiations are ongoing with the authorities of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan,” Sabirova said.

According to her, the tent camp has been re-deployed, people are provided with food and water.

According to an informed source of the agency, the issue with citizens of Uzbekistan should be decided today or tomorrow.

“The situation should be resolved today or tomorrow. The matter is complicated by the fact that currently in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, strict quarantine measures have been introduced in the wake of the coronavirus infection,” the source said.
