Bakhodir Yusupaliyev: Lockdown measures may be extended after August 1
The lockdown in Uzbekistan can be renewed after August 1, the First Deputy Minister of Health, Bakhodir Yusupaliyev, said.
“We have extended the lockdown measures until August 1. This is because the incubation period of this disease is 14 days, so we have taken one and a half cycles. This is the optimal time to stop the transmission of coronavirus from human to human. Once again, if we meet all requirements, we can stop lockdown on August 1,” he said during the “Taxlilnoma” TV program on the “Uzbekistan 24” TV channel.
Bakhodir Yusupaliyev emphasized that if the country’s morbidity and mortality rate were to increase, the lockdown measures could be further extended.
It should be reminded that on July 10 Uzbekistan extended quarantine measures until August 1.
