Illegal trafficking of Ergoferon and Arbidol revealed
The raids carried out by the Tashkent city Department for Combating Economic Crimes revealed the illegal sale of highly demanded medicines – Ergoferon and Arbidol.

During the raid, law enforcement officers detained a person who was selling a box of foreign-made drug Arbidol for 500,000 soums.
An unofficial seller of a pharmacy on Qatortal Street, Chilanzar district, was caught with material evidence while receiving 5,320,000 soums for 56 boxes of Ergoferon. 1,120 units of this medicine were temporarily confiscated.
It was also reported that another citizen illegally sold 19 boxes of Arbidol for 500,000 soums each in Yashnabad district, while in Almazar district, two other citizens tried to illegally sell 200 boxes of the medicine for $32 each.
According to the head of the Yashnabad district Department for Combatting Economic Crimes, Nuriddin Jurayev, these prices significantly differ from the usual prices.
According to him, Ergoferon is usually sold for 25-32 thousand soums, whereas the current price increased to 120,000 soums. Arbidol, which used to cost 45,000 soums, now is sold for 400,000-600,000 soums.
“Currently, medicines that are not available in pharmacies are being sold illegally, because when the pharmacy sells them officially at a high price, people will start complaining. Therefore, these people tried to sell them in secret ways.
At the moment, we are exchanging information with the companies that import these drugs into our country, and determining to whom and how the drugs are given,” said the department’s spokesman.
