The Mirabad district court on criminal proceedings has completed the trial on the criminal case against Straus House LLC and the verdict has been announced.
According to the press service of the Supreme Court, the criminal case against the defendants I. Isroilov (founder of Straus House LLC, born in 1993 in Tashkent, previously convicted), A. Makhmutaliyev (Director of Straus House LLC, born in 1995 in the Tashkent region, no previous convictions), D. Qutpiddinov (Deputy Director of Straus House LLC, born in 1994 in the Tashkent region, previously convicted) and O. Saidov (chief accountant of Straus House LLC, born in 1961 in Tashkent, previously convicted) was considered by the judge of the Mirabad district court on criminal proceedings.
I. Isroilov was acquitted under Part 3, Paragraph “a” of Article 238 (false testimony) of the Criminal Code. At the same time, he was found guilty of committing crimes under Part 4, Paragraphs “a”, “v” of Article 168 (fraud), Part 4 of Article 184 (evasion of taxes and other mandatory payments), Part 1 of Article 189 (violation of the rules of trade or services), Part 2, Paragraph “a” of Article 243 (money laundering) and Article 227 (possession, destruction, damage or concealment of documents, stamps, seals, forms, state number plates of motor vehicles and their trailers (semi-trailers)). He was sentenced to 9 years in prison and the sentence will be served in a penal colony.
A. Makhmutaliyev was found guilty of committing crimes under Part 4, Paragraphs “a”, “v” of Article 168, Part 3 of Article 184, Part 1 of Article 189 and Part 2, Paragraph “a” of Article 227 of the Criminal Code and sentenced to 7 years in prison. He will serve his sentence in a penal colony.
D. Qutpiddinov was found guilty of committing crimes under Part 4, Paragraphs “a”, “v” of Article 168, Part 3 of Article 184, Part 1 of Article 189 and Part 2, Paragraph “a” of Article 227 of the Criminal Code and sentenced to 8 years 5 months and 26 days in prison. He will serve his sentence in a penal colony.
O. Saidov was found guilty of committing crimes under Part 4, Paragraphs “a”, “v” of Article 168, Part 3 of Article 184, Part 1 of Article 189 and Part 2, Paragraph “a” of Article 227 of the Criminal Code and sentenced to 5 years’ imprisonment.
It was noted that the property confiscated in the criminal case will be used to compensate for the damage caused to the victims in a proportional manner.
It is established to collect 222,386,043 soums from the defendants I. Isroilov, A. Makhmutaliyev, D. Qutpiddinov and O. Saidov in favor of the state.
