The Senate approves the Law “On education”
On August 7, the sixth plenary session of the Senate was held. During the session, the senators discussed the law “On education”, Kun.uz correspondent reports.
According to Senator Mahmud Parpiyev, the Law “On education”, adopted in 1997, does not meet the current requirements for quality assurance.
“The law clarifies the rights, duties and responsibilities of employees of educational institutions, students and parents, the social protection of educational process participants and the legal status of thousands of specialists working in this field. Besides, the document now provides the possibility of developing the private form of education, effective use of the potential of intellectual property, expansion of jobs in the field of science and education,” he said.
During the meeting, the senators noted that the new version of the law is important in terms of bringing legal clarity to the questions of many citizens regarding higher education, recognition of diplomas, guaranteeing temporary residence for students and many more.
The above-mentioned law has been approved by the senators.
