Forensic medical expert detained in Tashkent while extorting $200 in exchange for discharging the body of a deceased from the morgue
On this fact, a criminal case has been initiated under Part 2 of Article 210 (Paragraph “v”) of the Criminal Code.
The Tashkent city Department under the Prosecutor General’s Office held an operative event, Khayot Shamsutdinov, PGO spokesperson, told Kun.uz.
During the event, it was identified that the deputy head of the Tashkent city branch of the Republican Scientific-Practical Center for Forensic Medical Examination and a forensic medical expert Z.U. misused his official powers. He extorted $200 from citizen I. for discharging the body of his relative A., who died on August 15, 2020, from the morgue. The offender was arrested with material evidence while receiving the money.
On the above fact, a criminal case has been instituted against Z.U. under Part 2 of Article 210 (Paragraph “v”) of the Criminal Code. An investigation is underway.
