Car fuel tank explosion kills a 9-year-old kid in Surkhandarya

According to the report of the Road Traffic Safety Department, the driver of VAZ-2107, 39, lit a cigarette inside the car, which was the cause of the fire. The driver managed to take his 9-year-old son out of the burning car.

The boy was taken to the Emergency Department (30 to 35 percent of his body was burnt), where, despite the medical treatment, he died two days later.

The Department for Emergency Situations of the Boysun district is conducting an investigation on this accident.
