Vehicle collision with gas pipeline leaves thousands without gas in Surkhandarya
A car accident in the Denau district of Surkhandarya region has caused a disruption in the gas supply, leaving 3,950 households and 20 major consumers without gas.
The incident occurred early on October 18 at around 1:30 a.m., when a vehicle crashed into a high-pressure gas pipeline passing through the Olovuddin neighborhood in the Denau district. According to the regional administration, the gas supply was immediately cut off following the accident.
The local gas supply company apologized to affected consumers for the inconvenience and announced that urgent measures are being taken to restore the gas supply as soon as possible.
Efforts are currently underway to repair the damaged pipeline and resume gas distribution to the affected areas.
