Tashkent police detain a thief who stole 17 million soums from a car

On August 20, Zamirbek, a 29-year-old native of the Kashkadarya region, appealed to the internal affairs bodies of the Almazar district stating that a large sum of money had been stolen from his car, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.

The man reported that in the evening of that day, an unidentified person had taken 17 million sums from the cabin of his car, taking advantage of the car being open.

Criminal proceedings were initiated under Article 169 of the Criminal Code.

In the course of operational events, investigators identified and detained the suspected thief – 33-year-old citizen Abdufozil. The investigation is ongoing.
