According to him, in the fight against the coronavirus infection either collective immunity, or vaccination will be needed.

“Thus, the Ministry of Health and the government are working on the issue of vaccination.

A number of other countries, including China, proposed us to participate in the third phase of clinical trials of this or that vaccine. Colleagues are currently considering whether to participate in the third phase of clinical trials or to purchase the vaccine after all tests have been successfully completed.

We are also considering the possibility of purchasing the Russian vaccine against COVID-19. We know that it is registered in Russia and is also in the third phase of clinical trials

We are ready to buy medicines for the population in a timely manner. The safety and effectiveness of the vaccine is of great importance,” he said.

In addition, Bakhodir Yusupaliyev said that the process of discussions on studying and purchasing the Russian vaccine is underway at a government level. A decision can be made after two weeks.

“Currently, the government is considering allocating funds for the purchase of vaccines,” the Director of the Agency for Sanitary and Epidemiological Wellbeing said.
