Wholesale consumers of natural gas in the Tashkent region owe more than 70 billion 339 million soums to gas supply organizations for a total of 77,864,000 cubic meters of gas supplied to them.
According to the data of the department for the Implementation of Anti-corruption Policy and Rational Use of Material Resources at JSC Khudugaztaminot, the increase in payables was caused by cases “when local authorities, for subjective reasons and the need to promote specific business projects, exerted administrative pressure on the local managers of gas supply organizations, without considering economic interests and existing problems in the field of gas supply.”
Thus, JSC Khudugaztaminot has started its work on revealing facts of the irrational use of natural gas, preventing illegal connections to the gas supply system, as well as ensuring timely payment of payables by wholesale users.
In August-September 2020, a working group comprised of employees of the Department for the Implementation of Anti-corruption Policy and Rational Use of Material Resources, Department for Control of Natural Gas Supply to Legal Entities and Metrology of Khudugaztaminot studied the gas usage in enterprises of Kibray, Yukorichirchik and Yangibazar districts that were registered as inactive in the gas consumption accounting program of wholesale consumers “FOSSA”. However, as it turned out, some of them had arbitrarily connected to the gas networks and operated as before.
Among the violators was “Akmaloltinbalik” public catering company. Despite the fact that it was listed as inactive in “FOSSA”, its usual activity has not changed. As a result of the audit, the legal entity paid over 15 million soums for the natural gas used.
Based on the above facts, the cases are prepared to be transferred to the law enforcement agencies for taking further legal actions.
