Individuals attempting to smuggle jewelry worth 2 billion UZS detained in Tashkent region
Customs officers and the State Security Service detained two people at a customs post in the Tashkent region who intended to illegally smuggle jewelry worth about 2 billion soums.

According to the Office of the Customs Committee for the Tashkent region, two citizens arrived at the Bekabad-auto border customs post on foot.
During the inspection in accordance with the established procedure, they were found to have 1,696 grams of jewelry made of precious metals hidden in their belt.
Currently, investigations are being carried out.
