Banks of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan sign an agreement on mutual operations
The heads of financial institutions of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan signed an agreement on the general conditions of banking operations, the press service of the Tajik bank said.
Within the framework of the meeting, the parties discussed issues of strengthening interbank cooperation between the republics, including promoting trade by increasing lending to entrepreneurs engaged in the import of consumer goods, as well as a possible reduction in interest rates on interbank loans.
Earlier, the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade said that following the results of the Uzbek-Tajik business forum, 308 investment and trade agreements worth $724 million were signed.

The event took place on September 29 as part of PM Abdulla Aripov’s visit to Tajikistan.
