A 10,000-seat mosque to be built at Imam Bukhari complex in Samarkand
A 10,000-seat mosque will be built at the Imam Bukhari complex in the Samarkand region, the Minister of Construction Botir Zokirov said. Representatives of the ministry handed over the project to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. According to Zokirov, it was the fourth presentation and the President instructed to start the project.

According to the Minister of Construction, a 10,000-seat mosque will be built in the complex, surrounded by national-style terraces. The ministry has been instructed to begin construction work on the mosque and its environs.
The mosque, which is located at the Imam Bukhari complex in the Payarik district, still operates. According to the project, a larger mosque will be replacing the current one. The complex itself will also be rebuilt. At present, there is a school of hadith named after Imam Bukhari next to the complex.
