Size of childcare benefits and material assistance to low-income families established
On December 30, 2020, the President signed the decree on measures to ensure the implementation of the law of Uzbekistan on the State Budget for 2021.
The attachment to the document sets out the size of allowances for families with children under 14 years old, childcare benefits for looking after children under 2 years old, material assistance to low-income families and one-time financial assistance to needy families in Karakalpakstan and Khorezm.
Allowances for families with children under 14 years old:
- Families with one child – 144,100 soums
- Families with two children – 238,700 soums
- Families with three and more than three children – 334,400 soums
Childcare benefits for looking after children under 2 years old – 434,000 soums.
Material assistance to low-income families – from 326,000 to 653,000 soums.
One-time financial assistance to needy families in Karakalpakstan and Khorezm – from 434,000 to 1,085,000 soums.
The document says that the indicated amounts of allowances and material assistance also apply to the payment of benefits and material assistance assigned before February 1, 2020.
Earlier it was reported that from February 1, 2021, the salary of employees of budgetary organizations, as well as stipends, will increase by 10 percent.
In addition, from February 1, 2021, the minimum payout for labor (MPL) in the country will be 747,300 soums (currently 679,300 soums) per month.
Also, from February 1, 2021, the base calculating amount (BCA) will increase from 223,000 to 245,000 soums.
