Kindergarten fees may increase starting April 1

The draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On approval of the amount of parental payments for child support in public preschool education institutions for 2021” has been announced.

The document provides for the approval of the amount of parental payments for child support in public preschool education institutions for 2021.

The funds received from parental payments to public kindergartens are fully directed to the cost of feeding the child.

According to the Law “On the State Budget of Uzbekistan for 2021”, the consumer price index in 2021 is projected at 9-10%.

Accordingly, the draft resolution provides for an increase in parental fees for child support in public kindergartens by an average of 15% from April 1, 2021.

It is envisaged that the amount of parental fees will be reduced by half in public preschool educational institutions located in the Gozgan city of the Navoi region and the Bandikhan district of the Surkhandarya region.
