The President has signed the decree “On amendments and additions to certain legislative acts of Uzbekistan”.
According to Norma, the categories of foreign citizens and stateless persons entitled to permanent residence in Karakalpakstan and the provinces (other than the Tashkent region) now includes:
- Uzbeks living abroad and their family members (husband, wife and minor children);
- Foreign nationals or stateless persons who have invested at least $3 million in the establishment of an enterprise for the production of goods and services in Uzbekistan: founder of the enterprise and members of its family (husband, wife and minor children);
- Foreign citizens and stateless persons who have been granted the status of “Honorary Citizen”, as well as members of their families (husband, wife and minor children).
