More than 2.3 thousand foreign nationals moved to Uzbekistan for permanent residence in 2022
Last year, 2,322 foreigners moved to Uzbekistan for permanent residence.

The number of arrivals is determined using special coupons developed for statistical purposes and compiled by the internal affairs bodies when registering the population at the place of residence, the Statistics Agency said.
Russian nationals led the list of foreigners who moved to Uzbekistan for permanent residence in 2022 (813 people), followed by Kazakhstan (761), Tajikistan (156) and Kyrgyzstan (111).
Earlier the head of the main department for migration and citizenship of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ulugbek Mukhamedov, said that in 2022, 18 Russians received citizenship of Uzbekistan.
