Sadyr Japarov speaks about Central Asian integration
The President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov believes that being divided in the region may lead to negative consequences.
The head of Kyrgyzstan gave an interview to the Kazinform news agency ahead of his visit to Kazakhstan.
During the interview, he was asked about the integration of the Central Asian countries.
“Since gaining independence by our countries the experts and political analysts say about Central Asian integration. What do you think?” the reporter asked.
“They say about Central Asian integration since 2000. Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan will reportedly soon hold a conference on integration in Central Asia. We would like to propose holding the conference in Bishkek. Central Asian countries should always support interregional ties. If we are divided in the region, it may lead to negative consequences,” said the President of Kyrgyzstan.
Earlier it was reported that Kyrgyzstan plans to buy electricity from Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
