Sherzod Asadov says press secretaries of ministries should provide prompt response to criticism in the media

The dialogue was open, it was devoted to the analysis of the work of press services, their interaction with journalists and bloggers.

“The activities of information services of state bodies and organizations are being improved, they are given wide powers and opportunities. Now it is necessary to strengthen their role in ensuring the openness of the organizations they represent, as well as in communicating the outcomes of reforms to the population,” Asadov said in a statement.

In addition, he pointed to the weak performance of the press services of certain ministries and departments.

According to him, many questions remain unanswered, prompt response to criticism in the media and social networks is needed.

“There is a lot of work to be done in this direction. The presidential press service is always open for such cooperation,” Asadov said.
