“Side effects have been reported in 71 vaccinated people, but none of the cases are serious” – Otabekov

So far, no serious complications have been observed in people who received coronavirus vaccines in Uzbekistan, Nurmat Otabekov, a member of the Anti-Coronavirus Staff, said at the AIMC briefing. 

Mass vaccination against coronavirus began in Uzbekistan on April 1. As of April 6, 29,860 people in the country received the AstraZeneca vaccine, and another 19,742 people were vaccinated with ZF-UZ-VAC 2001.

“To date, side effects have been reported in 71 people. Some of the vaccinated had a body temperature of 37.5 degrees and above, some had pains in the body, itching, nervousness, weakness and fear. However, no serious complications were observed so far,” Otabekov said.
