Uzbekistan reorganizes State Trust Fund on Support of Women

A government decree on the organization of the State Trust Fund on Support of Women has been adopted.

The resolution approved the regulation on the fund, according to which, the fund:

• provides an initial payment for housing for women in need of social protection, including for those with disabilities or raising children with disabilities, women from low-income families and those who need better housing conditions;
• assists in financing the development of women’s sports, improving working conditions and studying;
• places resources in commercial banks to fully support women’s entrepreneurial initiatives in accordance with the established procedure;
• finances activities related to the creation of the necessary conditions for women to acquire knowledge and skills in professions that are in high demand in the labor market.
