The Ministry of Internal Affairs issued a warning about strengthening control over the observance of quarantine rules and strict prosecution of offenders as a result of an increase in the number of cases of coronavirus infection in the country.

The spokesman for the Interior Ministry Shokhrukh Giyasov noted the increasing neglect of quarantine rules, as a result of which the number of cases is growing day by day.

“The increase in infection cases, first of all, occurs as a result of non-compliance with simple precautions – not using medical masks and not maintaining social distance. According to the decision of the Special Republican Commission, quarantine rules have been strengthened from April 18. Control over wearing masks in public places, maintaining social distance and observing the rules of personal hygiene has been strengthened. Severe penalties will be applied against offenders.

Employees of the internal affairs bodies, in relation to citizens violating the rules of quarantine, were limited mainly to warnings. However, from now onwards, lawful strict measures will be taken against violators,” Giyasov said.
