Citizens to have three non-working days on Eid al-Fitr

Uzbekistan announces holidays on the eve of Eid al-Fitr.

In early February this year, the President signed a decree “On measures for further development of domestic and pilgrimage tourism in Uzbekistan”.

According to the document, on the main holidays including Nawruz, Independence Day, Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha, citizens will have at least three non-business days.

Also, in accordance with a relevant draft document developed by the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations, in 2021 the following days are declared additional days off:

- May 14 (Friday);

- September 2 (Thursday);

- September 3 (Friday);

- December 31 (Friday).

The following days were declared holidays for all, regardless of the working week mode:

- March 20 (Saturday);

- March 22 (Monday);

- May 15 (Saturday);

- July 21 (Wednesday);

- July 22 (Thursday);

- September 4 (Saturday).
