Uzbek calligrapher completes largest handwritten page of the Holy Quran
It is expected to be included in the Guinness World Records Book as the largest handwritten page of the Holy Quran.
The director of the Center for Islamic Culture, Shoazim Minovarov, said that only one page of the Quran, preserved from the 14th century, was used during the creation of the one-page manuscript, which is currently the largest page of the Quran in the world.
It is reported that the page of the Holy Scripture was created by the Uzbek calligrapher in six months and is an enlarged copy of the page of the XIV century Quran, made for Shokhrukh Mirza, the third ruler of the Timurid Empire.
It is to be nominated for the Guinness Book of Records, Shoazim Minovarov added.
