The Main Traffic Safety Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has improved the e-Protokol information system, which allows traffic police officers to read information from the ID-card chip using the service tablet.
The card will indicate information about the vehicle, a notarized power of attorney for the right to drive it, information on passing a technical inspection and permission to tint the windows of the car.
Starting May 19, 2021, in the city of Tashkent, ID cards will be used in a test mode.
In case of failures and malfunctions in the system during the check, the department asks drivers to approach the situation with understanding and provide the road police officer with original copies of their documents.
