Senate to consider law On Amendments to Electoral Code

The Senate Council has made a decision to convene the fifteenth plenary session of the upper chamber on May 28-29.
The event will be held via video conference. The session will discuss the laws “On Transport”, “On Precious Metals and Precious Stones”, “On the Establishment of the Day of Culture and Art Workers”, “On Amendments and Additions to the Electoral Code of Uzbekistan” and a number of other documents.
In addition, the issue of the 2030 Strategy for Achieving Gender Equality in Uzbekistan will be considered and the reports of the Cabinet of Ministers on the execution of the state budget in 2020 and in the first quarter of 2021 will be heard.
At the plenary session, it is planned to consider issues on sending parliamentary requests to the Cabinet of Ministers regarding current problems in providing work for graduates of higher education institutions.
