Tashkent introduces a new system of providing medical services for COVID-19 patients
Specialized round-the-clock clinics for coronavirus patients have been created in the capital.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Health, the polyclinics created in 11 districts of the capital will provide primary health care to coronavirus patients, as well as conduct the necessary laboratory examinations.
“The clinics are designed for round-the-clock service of the population – three medical teams, consisting of two doctors and two middle-level medical workers, are attached to each of them,” the report said.
According to the Ministry of Health, all family clinics in Tashkent will be integrated with specialized clinics.
“Both suspected and confirmed coronavirus patients can directly contact these specialized clinics or get there through the family clinic or by the ambulance service,” the press service noted.
Suspected patients are recommended to contact a specialized clinic in the area where they live.
In case condition and capabilities of the clinic is insufficient, medical workers record the patient’s home address and sent information about him to a specialized clinic. Then the patient is then taken there on a special vehicle of the clinic and receives health care in accordance with the standards.
In case of patients who apply to a specialized clinic, the clinic keeps a special medical card, which records the state of the citizen, the results of the examination and treatment.
Patients will be grouped by severity of their illness; citizens with a milder condition will be given the necessary recommendations for treatment at home.
“If the patient is in serious condition, he will be urgently transferred to a specialized hospital, which will be reported to the family clinic at the place of residence,” the Ministry of Health concluded.
