Nurmat Otabekov names the only way to protect against coronavirus

Nurmat Otabekov, Deputy Head of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health Service, named the only way to protect against COVID-19.

“Starting from July 12, the situation with the coronavirus is getting worse. More than 500 cases are being registered daily. We must understand one point that nothing will help us except for vaccination,” he said in an interview with “Uzbekistan 24” TV channel.

The expert stressed that people do not follow the relevant rules.

“They do not wear masks, do not maintain social distance and often visit public places. People must understand that the only way to protect themselves from coronavirus infection is vaccination,” he concluded.

Previously, it was reported that in Uzbekistan, a certain category of citizens will be required to receive a vaccine against COVID-19.
