Massive house fire reported in Samarkand
On the afternoon of July 26, five houses on Shohizinda Street in Samarkand burned down within several hours, the regional emergency department reports.
“Fire started in a house, at 242 Shohizinda Street, at 14:58, and the first call to the emergency department was made at 15:04,” the press service of the department said.
Also as a result of a strong wind, the flame quickly spread to other neighboring houses. The fire covered 200 square meters - ceilings, roofs of houses, household appliances burned down.
Five firefighting crews arrived at the scene. They localized the fire at 15:39 and extinguished it at 17:00. No injuries were reported, the cause and damage from the fire is currently being investigated.
