Uzbekistan Railways earned a profit in H1 2021
Last year, the company ended the same period with a loss of 327 billion soums.

According to the results of the first six months, Uzbekistan Railways JSC received a net profit of 230 billion soums, Spot reported referring to the company’s financial statements.
The company’s revenue in the first half of the year amounted to 4.7 trillion soums, last year for the same period it was 4.4 trillion soums.
Income from foreign exchange rate differences almost doubled – 419.4 billion soums against 213.7 billion soums. Expenses on financial activities and in the form of interest decreased.
If last year there was a loss from general economic activity, this year the profit amounted to 272.5 billion soums. Last year, the company incurred a loss of 327 billion soums by this time.
This year, the company has also paid income tax in the amount of 41 billion soums.
