Two COVID-19 centers closed in Samarkand
In Samarkand region, two centers for the treatment of patients with COVID-19 have been closed.
According to UzA, due to the improvement of the situation in the region, health centers Marvarid in the Kimyogarlar Kurgoni area in Samarkand and Kattakurgan district have completed their activities.
The patients who were treated in these centers fully recovered and returned home.
“The regional health department expressed gratitude to the medical staff for their selfless work,” the statement says.
Earlier it was reported that on August 18, 844 people were diagnosed with coronavirus in Uzbekistan. The total number of people recovered from COVID-19 in the country has reached 139,021, or 95 percent of cases.
Also over the past day, eight new deaths from coronavirus were recorded. The total number of deaths has reached 1,002.
