British ambassador expresses gratitude to Uzbekistan for assistance in evacuating diplomatic missions in Afghanistan
The special representative of the President of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan, Ismatulla Irgashev, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Great Britain to Uzbekistan, Tim Torlot.
According to the MFA press service, the parties exchanged views on the current situation in Afghanistan, the efforts of the international community to peacefully settle the Afghan crisis.
The sides also discussed the priority areas of the Uzbek-British interaction in the Afghan direction.
The British Ambassador expressed his sincere gratitude to the leadership of Uzbekistan for active assistance in the evacuation of diplomatic missions in Afghanistan, as well as local Afghan personnel, in transit through the territory of the republic, the Foreign Ministry said.
