More than 140 patrol teams from nearly 35 countries took part in the competition, including the UK, the United States, France, Germany, Italy, Pakistan and Kazakhstan.
The participants faced a series of demanding tests over 48 hours in mountainous, marshy and difficult-to-access terrain. Teams covered approximately 70 kilometers while carrying out reconnaissance missions, responding to simulated combat scenarios, overcoming obstacles and providing first aid to casualties.
The competition also tested participants’ ability to operate in environments involving chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear threats.
International experts praised the Uzbek team’s level of preparation and its ability to complete the assigned tasks.
Cambrian Patrol has been held since 1959 and is organized by the British Armed Forces’ 160th Brigade, based in Wales. The competition is designed to test military units’ practical skills and endurance while promoting international military cooperation and the exchange of experience.
