President of Turkmenistan to visit Uzbekistan
On September 6, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting on the digital system with the participation of the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet.
At the meeting, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural work, as well as on preparations for the upcoming regular meeting of the joint Turkmen-Uzbek commission on trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation, the gov’t press service reported.
After hearing the report and noting that Turkmenistan attaches great importance to the comprehensive expansion of international cooperation and good-neighborly relations, Berdimuhamedov instructed relevant authorities to properly prepare for the next meeting of the joint commission, which plays a special role in building up a constructive dialogue with Uzbekistan.
“In this context, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov instructed the Deputy Prime Minister, together with his Uzbek counterpart, to discuss issues and agreements that will form the agenda, and to agree on holding next week the upcoming meeting of the joint commission,” the report says.
The visit of the government delegation to Uzbekistan will be headed by President Berdimuhamedov himself, during which relevant documents will be signed on the agreements reached, the report adds.
