Uzbekistan increases import of mobile phones

According to the State Statistics Committee, in January-August 2021, Uzbekistan imported 1.6 million units of mobile phones for $117.4 million.

Compared to the corresponding period of last year, mobile phone imports grew by 1.2 million units.
 
Imports were made mainly from:

• China - $63 million
• Vietnam - $41.4 million
• India - $5.9 million
• Kazakhstan - $5.5 million
• BAA - $960 thousand
• Germany - $647 thousand
• Korea - $60 thousand
• Russia - $18 thousand

In August, 236,624 mobile phones were imported.
