Experts approve use of Uzbek-Chinese vaccine for children and adolescents
The safety of the ZF-UZ-VAC2001 vaccine, co-authored by China and Uzbekistan, for children aged 3-5, 6-11 and 12-17 has been approved by an independent data monitoring committee.
The press service of the Ministry of Innovative Development reported about it.
The Data Safety Monitoring Board (DSMB) is a group of experts who, based on research findings, analyze and evaluate the safety of research participants.
“Currently in China, a group of children aged 12-17 has been vaccinated with 3 doses of ZF-UZ-VAC2001 vaccine, and a group of children aged 6-11 and 3-5 have been vaccinated with the first dose of this vaccine,” the report said.
There were no side effects for the health of children.
Previously, it was reported that in Uzbekistan, children over 12 years of age can voluntarily receive the Pfizer vaccine against COVID-19.
