Uzbekistan increases mobile phone production

Uzbekistan produced 345,431 mobile phones and other wireless telephones in 2020, the State Statistics Committee says.

The volume of telephone production increased by 110,272 units compared to 2019, the committee informed.

In the first eight months of 2021, Uzbekistan imported 1.6 million units of mobile phones for $117.4 million.

Reportedly, 290 mobile phones are used in 100 households in Uzbekistan.
