Cases of misappropriation of funds and material resources this year increased by 3 times compared to last year.
The State Financial Control Department of the Ministry of Finance has announced the list of ministries that misappropriated budget funds most in the 9 months of 2021.
In the first nine months of this year, the country had a deficit and misappropriation of 83.7 billion soums, unjustified and overpayments from the budget in the amount of 457.7 billion soums and unintended expenditures of 187.3 billion soums, the press service of the Finance Ministry reported.
According to the ministerial data, this is 3 times more than in the first 9 months of 2020.
The bulk of these cases have been identified in ministry and committee systems. In particular:
- In the system of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education – 23.3 billion soums;
- In the system of the Ministry of Health – 17.2 billion soums;
- In the system of the Ministry of Public Education – 14.4 billion soums;
- In the system of the Ministry of Preschool Education – 5.7 billion soums;
- In the system of the Ministry of Culture – 2.7 billion soums;
- In the system of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports – 1.7 billion soums;
- In the system of the Committee for Motor Roads – 4.2 billion soums;
- In the system of the State Committee for Forestry – 2.2 billion soums;
- In the improvement departments of khokimiyats – 2.5 billion soums.
It is noted that 510.8 billion soums of financial errors identified during the reporting period have been returned to the budget.
For violating budget legislation, 15 responsible officials were charged administratively. Protocols on administrative offenses were sent to the administrative courts for consideration.
