Dust storms hit Uzbekistan
Unprecedented dust storms are occurring in Uzbekistan due to strong winds, which caused a dusty fog in Tashkent on Thursday.
On November 4, strong winds caused dust storms in Uzbekistan, decreasing visibility in some areas to 500-1000 meters. The level of the dust exceeded the norm by 5 times.
According to the Hydrometeorological Service Center, on November 4, cold air entered the territory of Uzbekistan from the Urals, the wind speed increased to 12-15 m/s, in some areas of Bukhara, Navoi and Jizzakh regions to 20-25 m/s.
The air quality monitoring centers report that the level of air pollution in Tashkent is “very unhealthy”.
