13-year-old boy steals his grandfather’s $65,000 in Namangan

In the Yangikurgan district of Namangan region, a 13-year-old schoolboy stole $65,000 from his grandfather, the regional police department said.
A 67-year-old resident of the Yangikurgan district said that an unknown person had stolen a large sum of money from his house and filed a statement with a request to take action.
As a result of operational-search activities carried out by officers of the Yangikurgan District Department of Internal Affairs, it was established that the money had been stolen by the man’s 13-year-old grandson.
On this fact, a criminal case was initiated under Part 4 of Article 169 (Theft) of the Criminal Code.
