During the visit, the delegation toured Gamma Meccanica’s production facilities and examined its manufacturing technologies.

Founded in 1977, the company is headquartered in Bibbiano, in Italy’s Emilia-Romagna region. It manufactures production lines for mineral wool and extruded polystyrene (XPS) insulation panels, used in building thermal insulation, as well as equipment for recycling plastic waste.

At a meeting with company president Andrea Burini, the sides discussed prospects for expanding industrial production in Namangan region, introducing energy-efficient technologies and developing joint projects in plastic waste recycling.

They also considered investment opportunities and the potential application of Gamma Meccanica’s technologies in the region’s industrial sector.

The talks concluded with the signing of an investment agreement worth $105 million. The regional administration did not disclose the project’s implementation timeline, planned production capacity or the breakdown of investments.
