The violations involved the unauthorized use of 29.1 million cubic meters of natural gas worth UZS 390.2 billion and 226.4 million kilowatt-hours of electricity valued at UZS 435.1 billion, the Energy Inspectorate reported.

A total of 4,196 administrative reports were drawn up over violations of energy consumption rules, Navruz Norboboev, head of the inspectorate’s press service, said at a briefing on October 13.

The inspectorate also examined the quality of petroleum products collected from filling stations and businesses. In 308 cases, inspectors identified 7,435.6 tonnes of substandard fuel products.

Separately, the agency reviewed electricity and natural gas bills charged to businesses. Following the checks, 199 businesses had their bills recalculated, reducing excessive charges by UZS 3.632 billion for electricity and UZS 12.084 billion for natural gas.

The findings cover the first nine months of 2026.
