Tashkent metro to stop accepting tokens for travel from December 1
From December 1 of this year, the metro will stop accepting tokens for travel in Tashkent, the press service of the SUE “Toshkent metropoliteni” reported.
“In connection with the introduction of an automated system for paying for public transport fares, we inform citizens that from December 1, 2021, the metro will stop accepting tokens for travel,” the report reads.
It is noted that all stations of the Tashkent Metro have been equipped with stationary validators that allow making payments via NFC, as well as accepting QR-code tickets, transport and bank cards.
It should be recalled that since November 1, 2020, the sale of tokens at the metro ticket offices has been discontinued.
