Uzbekistan’s potato imports up by 103 thousand tons

According to the State Statistics Committee, in January-October 2021, Uzbekistan imported 389.5 thousand tons of potatoes from 13 countries for $44.5 million.

Potato imports increased by about 103 thousand tons compared to the same period last year.

During the period under review, major exporters of potato to Uzbekistan were:

• Kazakhstan - 128 thousand tons
• Iran - 127 thousand tons
• Pakistan - 100 thousand tons
• Kyrgyzstan - 19 thousand tons
• The Netherlands - 11 thousand tons
• Russia - 4.4 thousand tons
• France - 616 tons
• Afghanistan - 374.6 tons
• Germany - 66.3 tons
