Official of cadastral service in Samarkand detained while taking $3,000 in bribe
He demanded money in exchange for preparing the relevant cadastral documents for the land.
A man was detained in the Bulungur district, Samarkand region, for trying to sell a land plot that he owned but did not have the right to sell, the information service of the Samarkand regional DIA reported.
As it turned out, on December 12 this year at about 13:30, Sh.B. tried to sell his 50-acre land plot to a local citizen for $34,000, even though he did not have the right to sell it. He was caught red-handed by officers of DIA and SSS while receiving $10,000 of the agreed amount.
It turned out that a high-ranking official of the Bulungur district branch of the State Cadastre Chamber under the State Tax Committee demanded $3,000 of this money in exchange for the preparation of relevant cadastral documents for the land.
After that, this cadastral official was detained with material evidence while receiving $3,000 in his service car.
On the this fact, a criminal case has been filed under the relevant Articles of the Criminal Code. An investigation is underway.
