Statistics Committee announces provinces with highest number of marriages 

This is more by 11,944 than in the same period last year, the committee says.

Number of marriages by regions:

• Bukhara – 15,314 
• Jizzakh – 12,231
• Kashkadarya – 27,149 
• Navoi – 8,650 
• Namangan – 22,918 
• Samarkand – 32,718 
• Surkhandarya – 23,595 
• Syrdarya – 7,410 
• Tashkent region – 23,763 
• Fergana – 30,086 
• Khorezm – 13,457 
• Tashkent city – 21,262 

Earlier it was reported that over the 11 months of the current year, 35,660 cases of divorce had been registered in the country.
